ABSTRACT [RESUMEN]

The Third World confuses "science" with "research" and "knowledge". Our countries would like to enjoy the products of science, without having to change the obscurantist 'weltanschauung' that they have in this moment, for the one needed to foster science. They pretend to combine Theocracy with Technocracy. We, the research workers, are to blame, because we train students to perform research, and then we confer them a diploma that calls them "doctors in science", even when they have no idea whatsoever of what science is about, nor what is its nature and structure. Fortunately, we believe that there are things we can do to start changing this miserable situation.
