[RESUMEN] ABSTRACT

Last year the subject of Eta Carinae appeared in all astronomical journal. What is new about this star, after 105 years of spectroscopic observations? What important feature does it show to be awarded with an international workshop exclusively dedicated to its study? This paper presents the sequence of events, which results in a new model, that explain the nature of this massive star.
