Dimorfismo Sexual en el Cerebro

[RESUMEN] ABSTRACT
There are structural differences among brain circuits associated with sexual behaviours. Some of these dimorphic differences correlate with sex, sexual preference, or gender identity. It has been shown that the sexual dimorphism of the brain is apparent only after puberty. This finding implies that postnatal factors play an important role in the establishment of the sexually dimorphic nature of brain circuits that mediate sexual behaviors. The challenge is to understand through neurophysiological studies what are some of these factors in the establishment of dimorphic regions of the brain.
